About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Gardos. I am a senior at SUNY Geneseo and my major is Music in Special Education. I am passionate about music and have been studying it since I was in elementary school. When I was in high school, I was given the opportunity to tutor young music students through a program at my school. Through tutoring, I learned how fulfilling education could be. In college, I took classes about and worked with students with disabilities. I saw how their disabilities can affect learning. I wanted to use my passion for music to help these students.

I hope to use my major to help students with disabilities learn and grow in the classroom through music. This portfolio will be a place I share what I learn through my studies.

I hope that this portfolio will help teachers and others working in education understand how music can be used to improve the learning of students with disabilities. I hope to create educational tools that can help students with disabilities have a more successful experience in the classroom.
